“proSfEEroume” at the Department of Recovery and Rehabilitation for Children with Disabilities in Voula, Attica for the second consecutive year

Athens, December 20, 2024. – In the framework of the social responsibility initiative “proSfEEroume“, the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) and the Hellenic Red Cross (HRC) visited the Recovery and Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities in Voula, Attica (PAAPAB), with the aim of strengthening and psychologically stimulating children with disabilities hosted there. SFEE donated a significant quantity of medical supplies to address the center’s increased needs, which accommodates approximately 100 children of various ages. At the same time, a Christmas celebration was held at the facility, featuring volunteers and staff from the HRC’s Social Welfare Sector. The event included festive music by renowned singer Antonis Remos, a celebratory meal, and personalized gifts for the children, bringing joy and holiday cheer to the kids.
HRC has been supporting this Center for many years through a dedicated team of Social Welfare Volunteers. These volunteers visit the branch weekly, organizing creative activities and entertainment for the children in collaboration with the Center’s management. Additionally, they arrange various events and outings, including community activities, visits to cultural landmarks, attendance at theatrical performances, and more, blending entertainment with education.
The “proSfEEroume” initiative, active since late 2016, has made significant contributions by providing pharmaceutical supplies, consumables, essential items, first aid kits, school supplies, toys, and handicraft materials to 14 regions across the country. Additionally, it organizes training seminars on first aid and volunteering.
HRC President Dr. Antonios Avgerinos stated: “The Hellenic Red Cross, through its voluntary humanitarian initiatives, collaborates closely with SFEE to promote social cohesion and solidarity, mobilize civil society, prevent the marginalization and isolation of vulnerable groups, and strengthen the spirit of volunteerism in our country”.

Through its “proSfEEroume” initiative, SFEE, in partnership with the HRC, provides essential pharmaceutical products and medical supplies to those in need.
