Mr. Christos Georgakopoulos, SfEE’s new Market Access Director
Mr. Christos Georgakopoulos, Global Medical Director Thrombosis (Denmark) and Regional Medical and Market Access Director, supervising 79 countries, at Leo Pharma, has been appointed Market Access Director of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE). Mr. Georgakopoulos is joining a dynamic group that promotes the pharmaceutical industry’s positions in the best interests of patients.
Mr. Georgakopoulos has more than 20 years of academic and industry experience, having served as assistant professor at the University of Portsmouth and in several senior management positions at international companies (Leo Pharma, Schering-Plow, Actelion, Abbott Laboratories), with responsibilities in stakeholder engagement, participation in healthcare policy design, clinical trial design, as well as design and implementation of pricing, reimbursement and market access strategies and policies.
He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Portsmouth and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the same University. He speaks English and German.
