SFEE and its member companies donate hospital equipment, medical supplies and sanitary material
Athens March 30, 2020 – With a high sense of responsibility and community service, SFEE and its member companies want to contribute to the collective national effort and confront the rapid spread of the COVID-19 and the increased hospital needs by offering hospital equipment, as well as medical supplies and sanitary material to the Ministry of Health.
To this end, SFEE and its member companies proceed with the purchase of priority material such as:
- 22 high-tech ICU ventilators,
- 122 ICU vital signs monitors,
- 300 aero chambers,
- 6,000 certified masks for doctors and nurses,
- Antiseptic gels (22 tons of ethyl alcohol),
- An important donation of innovative medicine for COVID-19 treatment.
The member companies that participated with the Association are (in alphabetical order): AbbVie, AstraZeneca, Chiesi, CSL Behring, Gilead, GlaxoSmithKline, Ipsen, Lavipharm, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, and Servier.
In consultation with the Ministry of Health, SFEE will coordinate a new effort to assemble a large order of consumables (protective garments and masks, gloves, among others).
