Meeting between SFEE reperesentatives and Digital Governance Minister Mr Kyriakos Pierrakakis

Athens, 15 July 2021.- Digital transformation and the steps taken towards the digitalisation of healthcare were the focus of a meeting held on Monday, 12 July 2021 between SFEE President, Mr. Olympios Papadimitriou, Vice-President Mr. Zacharias Ragousis and General Manager Mr. Michael Himonas, and Mr Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister of State and Digital Governance.
The representatives of SFEE and the Minister discussed technical issues concerning the digitalisation of healthcare. Key topics in this regard were the electronic patient record, e-prescribing, the interconnection of hospital IT systems, etc.
The Minister of State and Digital Government briefed the attendees on the EU Digital COVID Certificate, which he and the Prime Minister had presented a day before, but also on actions soon to be implemented by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Governance, in collaboration with IDIKA, regarding the access of citizens to their data included in the e-prescribing system as a precursor of the Electronic Health Record, as well as to digital medical certificates.
SFEE President noted in particular the great job done by the Ministry of Digital Governance, with Greece being a world champion in the pace of its digital transformation amid a crisis.
