“ProSfEEroume” in Alexandroupolis and Xanthi

Athens, 26 May 2017 – The “proSfEEroume” mission once again gave hope by donating pharmaceutical products and consumables to Education and Social Care Structures in Alexandroupolis and Xanthi. The social initiative ”proSfEEroume”, a common vision of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) and the Hellenic Red Cross (HRC), started its journey in late 2016 and has so far visited Rhodes, Florina and Ioannina. Its aim is to support vulnerable groups of population, especially children, in remote areas of Greece.

During the visit, HRC and SFEE Presidents, Dr. Antonios Avgerinos and Pascal Apostolides, had the opportunity to hold successive meetings with the Eminent Metropolitan of Xanthi Panteleimon and representatives of Local and Regional Authorities, to discuss the prospect of future cooperation in fields of common interest. They also held two joint press conferences at the Regional Department of the HRC in Xanthi and the Alexandroupolis Prefecture, respectively.

Apart from SFEE itself, its member companies LEO, Merck, Pharmaserve-Lilly, Sanofi and Vianex, as well as Apivita also participated in the “proSfEEroume” initiative.

The President of SFEE, Mr. Pascal Apostolides, happy with the smooth implementation of the project, stated: “In a difficult time, the “proSfEEroume” initiative has succeeded in uniting our country in a hug of solidarity. The journey continues, and the next stops will be the islands of Kastelorizo and Limnos”.

The President of the HRC, Dr. Antonios Avgerinos, stated: “The visit of “proSfEEroume” to the border cities of Alexandroupolis and Xanthi fills us with optimism. The smile in the faces of our fellow citizens gives us strength to overcome any obstacle and carry through our project.”
